Wallace & Gromit

Nick Park joined Aardman in 1986 to work at the studio with Peter Lord and David Sproxton and at the same time to complete A Grand Day Out, a film he had started while a student at the National Film and Television School. Nominated for an Academy Award, A Grand Day Out (1989) introduced the world to Wallace, the eccentric, cheese-loving inventor and his faithful dog, Gromit. The story was pure comic-book adventure - building a space rocket and blasting-off to the moon in search of cheese. The characters, however, were strongly delineated; the naïve, somewhat inept Wallace (voiced by Peter Sallis) and the real brains behind the partnership, Gromit, whose facial expressions - wide, slightly mournful eyes - quickly register his despair, frustration or total incredulity.

Red Dwarf

The first lesson Lister learned about space travel was you should never try it. But Lister didn't have a choice. All he remembered was going on a birthday celebration pub crawl through London. When he came to his senses again, he was living in a locker on one of Saturn's moons.  So he did the only thing he could, he joined the Space Corps - and found himself aboard Red Dwarf, a spaceship as big as a small city that six or seven years from now, would get him back to Earth.  What Lister couldn't foresee was that he'd inadvertently signed up for a one-way jaunt three million years into the future - a future which would see him the last living member of the human race, with only a hologram crew mate (Rimmer), a highly evolved Cat (Cat) and pedantic cleaning Droid (Kryten) for company.  Click here for the Red Dwarf Crew.

Tripping The Rift

An alien (Chode), a woman (Six of One), a robot (Gus) and a clown (Darph Bobo).  Join the crew of the star ship "Free Enterprise" as they battle the forces of evil.  "King of the Hill" director Chris Moeller presents us with this edgy Star Wars / Star Trek spoof, a computer animated short, in which an evil Darth Vader-like clown invades a star ship with hilarious and bawdy results. Actors Stephen Root and Terry Farrell lend their voices to the film.
